(QUEEN CITY NEWS) – “We try to tell Hollywood-style stories that have a Christian message,”
Lauren and Joshua Quincey are doing it right here in the Carolinas. Their Kannapolis-based production company “Three Kings Studios” is producing a new movie called “Church and Main.”
Lauren says the movie’s message was given to her by God about five years ago.
“Church and Main is the story of God in the realities of our world and the issues we go through and the struggles we face,” she said.
She says the reality of the world is what’s missing in Christian entertainment today.
Because the production company is locally based – the entire film is shot locally between the Carolinas at locations like First Baptist Church in Kannapolis, Cambria Hotel in Fort Mill and other locations in Rock Hill.

“It’s such a huge diversity of people, places, looks and feelings. Why don’t we take what we can do and do it here, why not spread the love,” he said.
While other actors came for filming, a few of the actors in the film are from South Carolina.
Collin David Beach is from Rock Hill, he plays the main character “Christian” and Ikeem Boseman, who plays “Michael” is from Abbeville, South Carolina.
“I want people to see themselves and see their journey within the different characters. I think when you can see yourself and can almost look like a reflection of yourselves in these characters, I think that really resonates and has a deeper impact on you.
Currently, the film premieres in May. They hope he will perform at the GEM Theater in Kannapolis.
