Hyderabad: New York-based Indian composer A-Zal aka Atif Afzal releases his first American pop solo album titled “17 & 11 Nights”. It’s a commercial pop album featuring a variety of tracks ranging from high-octane dance numbers to soulful melodic songs.

For the audio production of his album, A-Zal has assembled a strong team of Grammy-nominated experts, Jeff Sojka and Benny Steel, who have already worked with the world’s top artists, namely Justin Bieber, Jason Derulo, David Guetta and Pitbull.

Atif feels blessed to have had this opportunity to collaborate with the best in the industry in the United States. During Covid, recordings and production were done remotely all over the world in the US, UK, Brazil and Italy.

The audio production team did a fantastic job improving the tracks and they can’t wait for people to listen to them. The album consists of 9 songs evoking the different experiences that A-Zal has felt in his life.

Atif said, “I consider this my best work to date and I’m working with a great team on releasing the song. I have received outstanding reactions from people in the industry and I can’t wait to share my voice and my story with the world. This album is all about my journey and is probably the best way to get to know me as an artist. Working on the album with this team, I realized there was a reason artists like Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber sounded so good. First, they are exceptional talents, but at the same time, they have a brilliant team behind their musical production. Every aspect of song production is so important and nothing can be rough around the edges. I was lucky to have such a team that elevated my album enormously.

A-Zal had composed, recorded and sung the soundtracks in New York, while production took place at Abbey Road Studios in London. Abbey Road Studios has a heritage of bands such as the Beatles and Queen recording at ARS. Currently, artists like Radiohead, Amy Winehouse, Ed Sheeran, Lady Gaga, Adele have made Abbey Road their creative home, producing countless landmark recordings.

For the live instrumentation, Atif worked with a guitarist in Italy, a mixing engineer in the USA and a pianist and drummer in the UK.
