Panorama Studios, creators of acclaimed films such as ‘Raid’, ‘Omkara’, ‘Khuda Haafiz’ and ‘Drishyam’ have branched out into music. Actor-filmmaker Ajay Devgn launched Panorama Music on Tuesday. The label, which will be headed by well-established music industry executive Rajesh Menon, will create original singles, film scores, indie music and regional content.
Created with the intention of providing a platform for aspiring musicians and artists, the label will focus on regional content and its Hindi offerings will include devotional and Sufi music, as well as ghazals. The actor even shared an update about it via an Instagram video and wrote alongside, “MUSIC HAS A NEW HOME! Introducing Panorama Studios’ brand new music label, Panorama Music. Subscribe to the channel now on PanoramaMusic.”
Launching the label, Devgn said, “Music has always been a space that has held my interest. With the digital medium touching our lives in so many ways, the possibilities for music are endless. He added that facets of India’s rich musical culture remain unexplored, a void he hoped the new music label would fill.”
Devgn director and film producer Kumar Mangat Pathak and producer-director Abhishek Pathak are the leaders of the music label.
Stating the goals of the music label, Abhishek said, “We want to create music that matters and establish a unique sound space for India.” And Menon added, “We hope to create quality music and touch people’s hearts.” Just like the Panorama movies did.
