Arshad Warsi remains one of Bollywood’s most underutilized gems. He has proven his mettle time and time again with a variety of roles in movies like Munna Bhai, Jolly LLB and more.
For eight months after Munnabhai, the film after which Circuit became a household name, he had no job, he had revealed.
“No one offered me a film. So I was wondering if people liked my work, why don’t I have a film in my hand. I asked Raju Hirani if I had done a good job? He said said, I was excellent. So how come I didn’t have a film in my hand,” he told PTI.
Arshad Warsi has now revealed that Amitabh Bachchan’s ABCL abandoned him after throwing him at Tere Mere Sapne.
“I would say Mr. B (Amitabh Bachchan). I started my career at ABCL, Joy Augustine, they got me into the business. But then they left me, abandoned me. So I don’t know what to call them. Godfather or what, I don’t know,” he told ETimes.
At the same event, Akshay Kumar had clarified his breakup with Arshad Warsi. “Quite often the media reports that I generally don’t get along with the people I work with. I always have a cordial relationship with everyone I work with professionally,” he said.
Breakup rumors started buzzing after Akshay Kumar starred in Jolly LLB’s sequel. Arshad Warsi.
“I don’t… Akshay does. I was supposed to, but Fox Star Studios needed a bigger star, so they cast Akshay,” Warsi told IANS.
