CHENNAI (Metro Rail News): Chennai Metro has sent a land acquisition notice to Kamal Haasan’s production company Raaj Kamal Films International, for its Phase-2 metro project. Under this project, around 120 stations worth around Rs 61,000 crore will be constructed.

According to the sources, a station under this project is to be built on Bharathi Dasan Road, where the office of Raaj Kamal Films International is also located. According to the sources, Raaj Kamal’s office has indicated that a legal consultation is underway to decide on the way forward. About 10 feet in front of the office is marked in the subway project, they added.

The Chennai Metro Rail Limited has planned to construct a station in an area of ​​around 600 square feet. A notice was also sent to other buildings in the region as well as to the production company. The planned station at Bharathi Dasan Road is part of Phase II of the project, including the Light House road section at Poonamallee.

Recently, CMRL and Larsen & Toubro signed a contract for the construction of a corridor from Nehru Nagar to Sholinganallur, for an estimated amount of Rs 1,021 crore, under the Phase II project. Under this, a 10 kilometer long viaduct is to be constructed across 10 metro stations which will be located at Nehru Nagar, Kandanchavadi, Perungudi, Thoraipakkam, Mettukuppam, PTC Colony, Okkiyampet, Karapakkam, Okkiyampet Thoraipakkam and Sholinganallur.
