Florida-based Full Sail University announced that it has officially opened the doors to one of the first, largest, and most technologically advanced virtual production studios on any college or university campus in the country, Studio V1: Virtual Production. .
“Full Sail University is honored to cut the ribbon for our latest innovative facility, Studio V1. Our virtual production studio will allow our students to gain real-world industry knowledge using the latest technology, while attracting professional projects to the region. We look forward to the future projects and learning opportunities this studio will provide,” said Full Sail University Director of Visual Arts Education Rick Ramsey.
Following the March 8 inauguration, Studio V1: Virtual Production is now fully open and operational. It will provide unique learning opportunities for students in many degree programs, including:

- Film Production Master of Fine Arts
- Bachelor of Game Art
- Bachelor in Game Design
- Masters in Game Design
- Bachelor in Game Development

The inauguration of the virtual production studio featured key speakers including: Garry Jones (President, Full Sail University), Phil Anderson (Mayor, Winter Park), as well as Rick Ramsey. During the ceremony, Ramsey and studio head Kyle Frazer gave demonstrations, tours and explained how the technology is taught and used in the industry.
