Founded by Michael Bay, Brad Fuller and Andrew Form in 2001, production company Platinum Dunes has been behind some of the most notable horror film releases of the past twenty years – many of which are remakes and reboots. . Over the decades, Platinum Dunes has brought us new versions of Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Amityville Horror, The Hitcher, Friday the 13th, and freddie. Without forgetting the Purge franchise, the Ouija movies, and the A silent place movies, among others. Then it looked like Platinum Dunes was ending. Fuller and Form branched off with their own company Fully Formed Entertainment in 2018, Bay launched their own Bay Films. Fuller and Form later parted ways so Form could join Sunday Night Productions. But now, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Platinum Dunes is being resurrected, and they have a first deal with Universal Pictures, the studio that released Bay’s last film. Ambulance.

Bay and Fuller have come together for this revival of the Platinum Dunes brand. Bay provided the following statement:

In addition to the movies mentioned above, Platinum Dunes productions have included The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning, The Unborn, Horsemen, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Project Almanac, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, and Songbird.
