The Muny announces full distribution, design and production team for CHICAGO


The Muny today announced its full cast, design and production team for Chicago, the fifth and final show in the theater’s 103rd season. Chicago runs August 30 through September 5 and is proudly sponsored by the Missouri Lottery.

“We are ending this historic season with one of the greatest American musicals of the last century, and I couldn’t be happier,” said Muny, executive producer and artistic director. Mike isaacson. “This production is safe from Razzle Dazzle.”

As previously announced, the main cast includes Sarah bowden (Roxie Hart), J. Harrison Ghee (Velma Kelly), Emily skinner (Matron “Mother” Morton), James T. Lane (Billy Flynn), Adam heller (Amos Hart) and Ali Ewoldt (Marie Soleil).

A headline-worthy set completes this cast, including Carleigh Bettiol, Joe bigelow,

Victoria Byrd, Taeler Cyrus, Sean Ewing, Veronique fiaoni, Friedmann Abbey, Anna Gassett, Valton jackson, Madison Johnson, Justin keats, Connor mcrory, Lizz picini, Michael James reed, Mikayla Renfrow, Nathaniel Washington, Davis Wayne and Ricardo A. Zayas. The company will also be joined by the young ensemble The Muny Teen.

As previously announced, Chicago is directed and choreographed by Denis jones with the musical direction of Charlie alterman.

The production team at the helm of Chicago includes the stage design for Tim mackabee, costume creation by Emily rebholz, lighting design by Rob denton, sound design by John Shivers and David Patridge, video design by Shawn duan and wig design by Tommy kurzman. The production stage manager is Larry Smiglewski.

The Telsey Office is The Muny’s official casting partner.

Chicago has a book of Fred ebb and Bob Ditch, music by John kander, words of Fred ebb and is based on the piece of Maurine Dallas Watkins. Chicago has a script adaptation by David thompson.

Kander and Ebb’s internationally acclaimed musical of Fame, Fortune, and Justice features a headline-worthy story of how two icon-victims became jazz-era celebrities. Set during the Prohibition era, this six-time Tony Award winner, the longest-running American musical in Broadway history, features jaw-dropping standards such as “Cell Block Tango”, “Mister Cellophane “and the famous” All That Jazz “.
