Walker & Dunlop Expands HUD Production Team with Addition of Senior Director, Brett Murphy


BETHESDA, MD., August 1, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Walker & Dunlop, Inc. today announced that it has expanded its HUD production team by Chicago with the addition of Brett Murphy. Mr. Murphy will be responsible for growing FHA’s senior housing business using the power of Walker & Dunlop’s platform for HUD, GSE, bridge and investment sales.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Murphy was a Principal at Lancaster Pollard, a company inherited from Lument, where he was responsible for originating and directing senior housing and healthcare transactions, including tax-exempt bond offerings, exclusive loans, HUD/FHA, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and USDA financing programs. Prior to joining Lument in 2013, Mr. Murphy worked at Banco Santander. He also held positions at Wells Fargo and State Street Bank & Trust.

Mr. Murphy holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Bentley University and an MBA from Notre Dame University with a double orientation in corporate finance and investments. It also holds FINRA Series 79, 52 and 63 registered licenses.
