Award-winning actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is set to kickstart his empire with the launch of his production company House Eleven10, by Deadline. He has already partnered with Netflix.
“I’m so proud of the vision for House Eleven10, and couldn’t be more excited about Netflix’s shared passion for the ideas we’d like to bring to the world,” he said.
The name of the company is a tribute to his childhood home in Oakland.
“I want our films and shows to be moving in their construction of the world and dynamic in their character. We want to use a creative process that leaves room for magic and humanity in various narrative universes and in all genres, ”continued Abdul-Mateen II. “Finally, House Eleven10 seeks to showcase the talent of traditionally under-represented or neglected communities within the industry by including various filmmakers, writers and staff throughout our projects.”
Abdul-Mateen II has been one of Hollywood’s busiest and most in-demand actors in recent years. He won an Emmy for his performance as Cal Abar / Dr. Manhattan in Watchmen, faced Jason Momoa in Aquaman and terrorized a new generation of horror fans in Candy.
It’s a complete moment for the actor, as his defining role has come in the Netflix musical / drama series. Lowering.

The next Abdul-Mateen II will be seen in Matrix resurrections, which hits theaters and on HBO Max on Wednesday, December 22. He will play with Jake Gyllenhaal in the action flick Ambulance, release scheduled for February 18, then cover of Black Manta in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, which is currently set for December 16, 2022.
